Terms of sale for online courses
Last updated: October 2026. These terms supplement the General Terms of Sale.
1. Purpose
These terms apply to the sale of the online courses FAC (Facilitator training, family constellations), THE (Training for therapists, individual practice) and GEO (Geobiology, pathway for practitioners), and their packs, offered on www.roots-unity.com.
2. Seller
Roots Unity SASU — share capital €1 — 45 rue Léon Bathiat, Étage 3, Appartement 61, 59600 Maubeuge, France — RCS Valenciennes 106 128 903 — Intra-Community VAT no. FR32106128903 — contact@roots-unity.com — +33 3 66 24 07 05. Publication director: Stéphane Jacquet.
3. Main characteristics
The course is online digital content accessed through a personal account: lessons, protocols, exercises, quizzes and a final exam. The content of each course, its indicative duration and its exam are described on its product page. Requirements: a recent browser, an internet connection and a valid e-mail address.
4. Audience, prerequisites and nature of the course
FAC is intended for anyone who wishes to train to lead family constellations. THE is intended for professionals who are already trained in clinical listening and assumes the safety foundations taught in FAC. GEO is intended for geobiology practitioners and housing professionals. These courses:
- confer no title, diploma or equivalence, and do not allow you to practise a regulated profession;
- do not replace any medical, psychological or psychiatric care;
- promise no health outcome and no income;
- are not eligible for CPF funding (France);
- are followed independently, without individual support, unless an option has been expressly purchased.
5. Price
Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes (20% VAT included) for individuals. The invoice shows the amount excluding tax and the VAT. The price that applies is the one displayed at the time of the order. A promotional code applies to the order concerned and cannot be combined, unless stated otherwise.
6. Order and payment
The customer confirms the order by clicking the button that states the obligation to pay. Payment is due at the time of the order, by the means offered on the site. The order is confirmed by an e-mail that sets out its essential elements and the text of the waiver of the right of withdrawal. The invoice is available in the customer area or sent by e-mail.
7. Access
The account is strictly personal and non-transferable. The customer does not share their login details, does not distribute the content and uses it only for their own purposes. Access is opened once payment is confirmed, for a period of at least 24 months, and may then be extended on the terms in force. The seller may suspend an account in the event of shared access or copying of the content.
8. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
The consumer has 14 days from the order to withdraw without giving a reason (Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). However, for digital content supplied without a physical medium, this right can no longer be exercised if performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and their acknowledgement that they waive this right (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).
By ticking the box provided for this purpose at the time of payment, the customer requests immediate access to the course and acknowledges that they lose their right of withdrawal as soon as this access is opened. If the customer does not tick this box, the order cannot be confirmed.
9. No refund once access is opened
Once access has been opened, the course is non-refundable, except in the event of non-conformity of the content or an access failure attributable to the seller (Article 11), or if the seller cancels the course.
10. Final exam and certificate
The exam has 48 questions: pass mark 70%, 60 minutes, 3 attempts. On passing, a certificate of completion is issued by the platform. It states the course and the date, and does not have the value of a title, a diploma or a qualification. The seller may refuse it in the event of fraud (sharing answers, use of a third party's account).
11. Statutory guarantees
The seller is liable for the conformity of the digital content with the contract, under Articles L224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, and for latent defects, under Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code. The consumer may request that the content be brought into conformity and, failing that, a price reduction or termination of the contract. Contact: contact@roots-unity.com.
12. Availability and content updates
The seller updates the content when necessary (corrections, changes in law or knowledge). Access may be interrupted temporarily for maintenance. If a course is withdrawn from sale, customers who are already enrolled keep their access for the period set out in Article 7.
13. Intellectual property
The content, texts, illustrations, protocols, quizzes and exams are the property of the seller. The customer receives a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use for the duration of access. Any reproduction, distribution or use to run a course without written permission is prohibited.
14. Liability
The seller has an obligation of means. They are not responsible for how the customer uses the content in their practice. For business customers, their liability is limited to the amount paid, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct. No clause limits the consumer's statutory rights.
15. Personal data
The data needed for the order, the account, progress, the exam and invoicing is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
16. Complaints and mediation
Complaints: contact@roots-unity.com. The consumer may then refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator: the mediator's contact details (name, postal address and website) will be published on this page before course sales open.
17. Governing law
French law. The consumer keeps the benefit of the mandatory provisions on protection in the country where they live.
